We have the same problem, the geocoding is not working and putting the information manually is not saved by the system.
Have you found any solution to the problem? Or have you decided to use a complete different system and which one?

Ahaa…! I’ve found the problem: I missed in the config tab for my image field that you could set the return value to URL or ID…
I tried your code Joff but it is not working.
get_field(‘acf image field name’) returns the image url, not its id.
Am I missing something?
