Update on this, finally managed to get someone helpful at web hosts streamline and been told that it looks like the upgrade scripts of site are at a limit and it needs to be moved to a bigger / newer server after I have backed up all files.
Does this sound plausible as still not sure this will fix and the person I spoke to was not 100% convinced by sound of it?
