Hi Michael, thanks for the assist. On the 6th was the day I created a staging instance of my WordPress installation, which basically mirrored my live instance down to plugins and everything. Maybe the error is happening because both installations were using the same token?

I’ve since changed the token for my live install and I’ve deactivated the plugin altogether in my staging site. Unfortunately, the notification is still showing on my live site.

Let me know what steps to follow if you wanna do the deep dive.

    Thanks,

    Luis

So, I found the answer to my question here: https://www.addtoany.com/buttons/customize/wordpress

But now I want to know: is there a way to choose which services appear first (and the order) in the mini menu?

Thank you for the reply @adamdunnage, I’ll be on the lookout for any additional useful info you can provide.

Rewarded Ads isn’t really a thing I want to implement in my website and the option isn’t available in my RRM dashboard even if I wanted to use it. I purposely chose a subscription-based revenue system to curtail the need for ads.

Thanks again for the support. Hope the Site Kit team can figure out this region blocking soon since it’s hurting me as a user big time.

Hey thanks but you don’t need to apologize @adamdunnage, I know you’re responding a lot of these messages daily and it can be exhausting being on the receiving end of it. Apologies if my reply was harsh, but it isn’t aimed at you in the least. You can’t control how other teams roll with RRM and Site Kit.

Thank you for your patience dealing with this and hopefully it can be sorted favorably for both of us in the future. If you need to mark this resolved (with the hope someone from Google will get in touch with me) that’s ok. If it’s not possible for anyone from Google to reach me out, then I would need to keep this thread open while we get a reply.

Thanks again for your timely support so far!

Thanks for the update, @adamdunnage. The user replied with this image saying they don’t see any errors in the console. They claim to be using Chrome, but I can’t really tell from the image they sent.

This feels to me like a major discrepancy in terms of how the internal RRM platform is presented. On the one hand, why would Google let me set the pricing for my paywall tiers in Panama if it didn’t allow for users to subscribe from that country? There are a lot of countries in that list too, way more than appear in the link you provided earlier.

My content is made with people from Panama and Latin America in mind, how is it that they can’t access the content fully or support me when Google Publisher Center clearly implies they can?

I’ve built my platform around Google RRM and Site Kit, so this comes as a huge shock that’s making me question if I made the right call.

From what I see, it doesn’t seem like something is working as it should…

If nothing can be done, I guess that’s it, but it would be rather disappointing and may force me to look for other solutions, sadly.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have filled out the Google form and requested the user to provide a screenshot of their console. The latter will take a bit of time as the person may have things going on today.

A new user subscribed on Oct. 17 without issue, although they are located in Spain, not Panama (where the user with the error is located).

From the link you shared, I understand that RRM is available to setup in these countries, but subscribers can come from any of the regions listed in the paywall tier settings. For example, I was able to set the dollar value for each of my paywall tiers in Panama, so I assumed that a user in Panama would be able to purchase a tier without issue.

Hi @adamdunnage, thank you for your reply, however I only mentioned Google Pay as a speculation.

A user tried to subscribe to my website and got an error saying they weren’t able to subscribe. Please see the image I provided in my original post. I believe this falls within the scope of support for Site Kit since they’re still not able to subscribe as of 8 hours ago.

What could be causing the error and why aren’t they able to subscribe?

Sorry for not replying. I was trying to reproduce the error, but couldn’t provide the video requested. I haven’t had any issues and my settings have “stuck” correctly since the latest update to the plugin.

Thank you kindly for your support!

Hi, @adamdunnage, thank you so much for your prompt reply. Here are my findings:

    1. I’ve provided the requested info in the Google form you provided
    2. Hard to tell if the same issue happens from an incognito window, because it’s not instant. I have just set the default product ID back to Open Access about 20 minutes ago. I usually take my eyes off it for an hour and then I realize the settings were reverted when I try to navigate my site using a browser where I’m not logged in (popups everywhere).
    3. Due to what I’ve mentioned in step 2, I don’t believe I can provide a video reproducing the issue.

Thanks again for the assistance and quick reply.

Thank you for your response James! I was able to implement the code into an MU plugin that loads before everything else and keeps the paywall from showing for only a couple of user roles and any paid subscriber.

Are there any similar snippets that can work for disabling comments for anyone who isn’t a paid subscriber or a specified user role? I’m working on my own solution, but if Site Kit has hooks I can use those instead of my homebrew idea.

    Thanks again!

Just to clarify, I’ve checked my wp-config.php and couldn’t find “define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true)”.

The button to copy the email to my theme is missing entirely and I cannot even see the HTML template below the customizable options.

    Hi, Jarret

Thanks for your prompt reply! Here’s the screenshot of the customizer as it currently looks. Please note that there are options that the vanilla Twenty Fourteen theme doesn’t have. Those extra options were added by the “Styles: Twenty Fourteen” and “Fourteen Extended” plugins.

Currently I’ve disabled the Featured Content section of the site altogether, which looks fine, but would be nice to have back if possible.

Thanks again for your assistance and any help you can provide.

    Cheers,

    Hi, Stanimir

Thank you so much for clearing this info. I have enabled the footer by testing it with dummy widgets and indeed the lazy load works fine now.

Thanks again for the quick response and keep up the awesome work!

    Kind regards,

    Hi, Mike!

Thanks for the quick reply on this. I made the changes you suggested, but found that the issue wasn’t resolved. Instead I got a new error message with line 355 now being the culprit:

    Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 2 passed to Mgsisk\Webcomic\Transcribe\hook_get_transcript_title() must be of the type integer, string given, called in /home/astromon/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286 and defined in /home/astromon/public_html/wp-content/plugins/webcomic/lib/transcribe/common.php:366 Stack trace: #0 /home/astromon/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(286): Mgsisk\Webcomic\Transcribe\hook_get_transcript_title('<img class="wpm...', 'wpml-ls-7-es') #1 /home/astromon/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(203): WP_Hook->apply_filters('<img class="wpm...', Array) #2 /home/astromon/public_html/wp-includes/class-walker-nav-menu.php(204): apply_filters('the_title', '<img class="wpm...', 'wpml-ls-7-es') #3 /home/astromon/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-walker.php(145): Walker_Nav_Menu->start_el('<li id="menu-it...', Object(WPML_LS_Menu_Item), 0, Object(stdClass)) #4 /home/astromon/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-walker.php(243): Walker->display_element(Object(WPML_LS_Menu_Item), Arr in /home/astromon/public_html/wp-content/plugins/webcomic/lib/transcribe/common.php on line 366

I also tried disabling the Restrict component prior to making the changes in the common.php file, but this didn’t solve the issue either. I hope this information helps in figuring out how to solve it!

    Thanks again for your support!

    Luis
