Debug is on
I am able to navigate to WP Admin, and check things.
But the moment, I click “restore” on a Deleted Post in Trash, or I try to Trash another post, I get the Internal 500 Server Error.
The Debug log is as follows now:

Based on the PHP Notices, I also installed WooCommerce, to enable “Product” post-type. Based on the Site Health recommendations, since I do not use WooCommerce, I had removed the plugin earlier.
I must add, that few weeks ago, I was facing issues connecting Jetpack to WordPress.com, if I did so using Opera (Browser). I do not get connection issues while using Safari to connect.
I do not get any 500 errors in the Debug.log file. But if I try to delete / restore any posts, then I get a 500 error on the screen. I can press back to open wp-admin again, and browse through the posts, but unable to perform any changes.
Hi Jeremy
Thanks for the quick response.
I got the following PHP Notices.

Hi
I just worked with my host to resolve the 500-internal server error. It seems there were files missing in the Jetpack auto-installation. I installed the plugin manually using FTP.
I have another follow-up concern regarding connecting jetpack. If I am using the Opera browser, while logged in to WordPress.com, and connecting Jetpack to my self-hosted website, it does not connect the two. However, I am able to do so if I use Safari.

I gave up on using this plugin about 2 months ago, when the update crashed my website entirely, and I was relying on it for front-end submissions. I figured out that it’s not the ideal way of offering the functionality to users, but a middle-path of ease. But then you need to plug in every other feature to offer basic features that you might need with front-end posting.
I have moved my site to buddypress. It’s far more scalable. And there are no unpleasant surprises like an update patch ruining your site’s presence, and breaking it completely. Obviously, a core update with Buddypress might do that, and you have far less themes to offer all the features you want, but social networking and front end positing, user management features are all built in with buddypress and there’s a community supporting it, rather than relying on a single developer.
It took me a lot of work to move the user data, plan a new UX and implement it, but it’s worth it. I feel I have a more stable engine running and offer greater flexibility to users.
ah, let me see what i can do. will update.

In reply to: [Editorial] homepage right grid of sliderHi
I have created a separate category for the “Featured Slider” for “Featured Posts” on the right. I have only 3 posts in this category, two with featured images of size 420×310 and one with size 430×635 (as mentioned in the documentation). How do we change the order of posts, so that the post with featured image height 635 gets displayed on the right, and the other two in between the slider and that?
Thanks

This is not working for me. I uninstalled the theme, and installed twenty seventeen. I ran the default repair DB queue but it doesn’t work. My problems have started after upgrading to WordPress 4.7.5 which Jetpack did automatically.
Now I do not know how to resolve this. Unable to add new posts or pages.

In reply to: Child Page Permalinks Not Workinghi grosshat. thanks for taking interest and looking into this. i finally got the page to work. i was tinkering with a test multisite installation, as i was planning to re-install the whole site with sub-directory install. on a hunch, I moved the present installation to sub-directory install, and re-wrote the permalink structure. it seems to be working now. but thanks for your help.

In reply to: Child Page Permalinks Not Workingif i update the permalink structure to “default” it works fine, and the page becomes accessible. the problem happens when I move the permalink structure to “day and name”

In reply to: Child Page Permalinks Not Workingthis particular topic wasn’t. i am facing trouble with the core site itself. the reason i chose subdomain install was because i have multiple custom post-types in this install. everything seems to be working fine with the custom post types, its just the default pages that are giving this error.
i was hoping to have the multi-site error resolved separately, but now that you mention domain-mapping, i have a feeling it might be a related issue.
