In reply to: Custom user fields on Elementor page.No. The short code does not display anything on a simple WordPress page with Gutenburg. It does display an error if the short code is wrong and doesn’t reference a valid field.
Also the same is with ACF.
(!) I am sure the problem is this is because the fields are user fields and I want them to display on a ‘page’, but silly me, I thought there would be a way to use a shortcode or Elementor pro to simply say “display this field here”.
Other plugin ideas are welcome. As stated before I think my needs are fairly basic: Add data to users. Send them all to one page which would show the user data of the person logged in.
I can’t be the only one in the world who is trying to do that, obviously I am going about it the wrong way. In this case Google is not your friend because it shows you 1000 results of custom pages with WordPress default user fields (which work perfectly and got that in 5 mins), but I can’t find out how to:
Make custom user field(s). Create a page that shows the content of the custom fields for the logged on user.
Any solution welcome.

In reply to: Custom user fields on Elementor page.Yes, of course- I went there first. I have been working on this for weeks (on an off).
I can create the custom fields in ACF or PODS but I can’t get them to appear on a page either by shortcode or buy simply choosing the key field in Elementor.
Actually creating the custom fields was easy.
Seeing them on a page, not so much.
So I thought I would ask here for a new perspective.

For clarity this has nothing to do with the WordPress REST API. It is an external API of another (non-WordPress) website. I need to make a search bar with different options (real estate) to pull information from it and display the results (ideally in a format i can design with Elementor).
Perhaps there is no way other than programmatically. The hard thing for me is that because of the REST API in WordPress, I am finding it hard to search for it and hoped someone might have come across something like this.

In reply to: [CF7 to Webhook] The plugin isn’t working with new version of CF7Hi I had the same issue. I went to save using CF7 to webhook and my changes weren’t saved. I can see this will affect a lot of users.
I downgraded to 5.5.2 and working fine.
For those who don’t know how to do that, go here:

Install the plugin as normal, and when WordPress asks, allow it to overwrite the other version.

I used Version 5.6 and Elementor Version 3.1.0 and Content Locker for Elementor 1.01
I setup templates as required and tested using the switch “Content Locker for Elementor” which showed the right Elementor Template correctly.
But when I went to the page (and tried all the options), not one would show the content when I entered the password or math problem. The page just seemed to refresh (the math problem changed). It never showed the content.
I was unable to get it to work at all. I’m surprised it doesn’t have lots of negative reviews, but I won’t down-rate it, perhaps the developer can get it working, it would be useful if it worked.

Here you able to tell us if there is anyway to change the default order of properties listed? The current default (I think is order of when they were listed) isn’t much use.
All I want is a way to have the search results page have “?sortby=a_price” after the /
Am I missing something?
Is this possible?

I tried installing loco translate but I can’t see any en_UK files to translate (I cant see where to change it). I managed to have the system create the UK language but the string “neighborhood” is nowhere to be found. All I am seeing are system words, nothing about property. (Yes I clicked on the Essential Real Estate bundle)…
Can you help with more advice or more specific intrusions please!

Given that the ability to order by price is available, is it very hard to make it default to that?
I too am looking for a solution to this.
When the plugin Country and phone field Contact From 7 is used, the phone field is no longer required even though it is marked as required in the markup.
If I disable the plugin it works as required.
People can send the form without putting in a phone number.
It would be great if we could get a solution to this, I thank the developer in advance in any help they can give!

In my case I want to create a shortcode to show the properties listed but automatically sorted by price.
I agree it would be great to be able to sort listing by default!

In reply to: [Essential Real Estate] Change The Listing LayoutOk to help others who want a different listing layout, to make a non full-width listing layout for Essential Real Estate, I simply changed the default page template used by the Property listing page.
So, I just looked up the Property listing page, edited it and then changed the template to one of my theme templates which had a container. The result was that all property listings now appear neatly inside a container.
I hope that is helpful to someone.
