Thanks for your response Andrew.

I will need some time to carry out the conflict test properly. What I could already observe in the meantime, that testing the website while being logged in as superadmin could be part of the problem. While being logged in with a subscriber role only, the restricted content seems to work well. Maybe a beginners mistake on my end? Not sure yet. ☺️

Will keep this post updated with more findings.

Switching off the caching by the WP Super Cache plugin did not solve the problem.

I suppose there is a way to edit a topic, but I haven’t figured out yet, how to do it. Hence I replied to my own topic.
