Thanks for the feedback, Frank.
Strange, up until this morning they weren’t working at all. When I check tonight, they all seem to be working in Chrome, but just some of them work in Firefox.
Going to do some further testing on different systems, tomorrow.
Hmmm, I’m on Firefox full time myself actually, browsed a couple of pages and did see Lytes on all of them I think. Let me know if you have a page that does not work for you and I’ll retest.
well, the playlist works in Firefox for me actually. if it doesn’t work for you, does that mean you see it as YouTube (non-Lyte) playlist, or that you don’t get to see a playlist at all?
On my home page, the player is shown as a grey box without controls and just the title of the playlist. Upon opening the article (‘continue reading’), the title of the playlist is shown in text.
The same problem is now visible in Firefox, Chome, Safari and IE. Also across platforms and connections. Any idea what might be causing this?
that typically is a JS error preventing the Lyte JS to fire. any JS errors on your browser console?
None that I can find, I have tested in several browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) and both in Windows 7 and 8, as well as on iOS (Safari). Can they all have the same JS issue, while you have no problem at all?
What I agree is strange is that the following post is shown with the grey box on the main page, but does seem to work on its own link:
http://blog.glitterati.be/playlist-mash-ups/
When I return to the main page, all players work … but after a refresh they are grey again.
Any suggestions to what might be causing this?
did a quick test in an external tool (webpagetest.org) for the mash-up playlist on the music overview page, and there it seems to work as well, cfr. screenshot on https://www.webpagetest.org/result/170625_50_ZKE/
could it be you only see the problem when logged on?
