We have a website which we want to update time to time, it has users coming on it every minute.

We took the backup of the site on 1st of Month and created staging site of it.

We worked upto 15th of the month full time on this staging site to update it’s design with page builder and direct editing in child theme and plugin files.

Now it’s time to commit that 15 days work on live site. So what is the best approach to do it?

We should put site under maintainace and start doing all those page builder changes on pages one by one on live site, because database of live site is already updated during these 15 days and we don’t have to loose user’s data.
In this case we need to keep site down for several hours. which we don’t want to.

Or is there any other way, we can do version control or something. Because page builders saved it’s data in database and we do have some direct code changes in files. So what will be the best way to update the site?
