WP 3.4.1 update DB update looping

    Hi,
    I am experiencing errors during update from v3.40 to .1 on one server only.

    The database-upgrade dialog is shown when the button is clicked it tells everything went fine and the installatioin is finished, but leads again to the click the button to upgrade the DB and this always, indefinitely.

    The DB-upgrade is the last step during the UP update, right?
    What’s the new DB-version? So manually entering this in phpmyadmin should stop this, as the db was successfully upgraded.

    Any other ideas?

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

    Hi esmi,

    the theme was the problem, then I ran upgrade.php manually.

    This worked like a charm, thank you 🙂
