Hi there, have you tried to disable plugins one by one and then test?
Will start by thrifting out redundant/unnecessary plugins one by one and see what happens.
Thanks for the tip. John
Have thrifted out unwanted plugins, removed or deactivated. The ‘Smash Balloon Instagram Feed’ was the most recent plugin, but deactivating it makes no difference.
Have also thrifted out server space to around 45% of quota, but with no perceivable difference in response times. Just seems to spend so much time waiting for WordPress to respond each time.
For users, the response time is good except when they want to login to restricted areas via …/wp-login.php
Never used to be like this, so something must have changed.
Hi @ticktock247 , if you’re still facing this issue I’ll recommend you install Health Check – https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ and enable Troubleshooting mode then check if it’s still slow.
If the site is still slow after enabling the Troubleshooting mode, then you can install and activate “Query Monitor” https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/. This plugin helps you view the performance of your site and page loads, see this article for more tips – https://wp-rocket.me/blog/how-to-fix-slow-wordpress-admin/
I hope these help.
Tosin,
Thanks for these tips. I will check them out and report my findings. John
