  • Are you using Endurance as your web host for evergreenpearl? If so, the content shouldn’t be linked to wordpress.COM in any way. You may use wordpress.ORG as your wp-admin login, but it’s only used for authentication. Let me know if I got something wrong or misunderstood.

No I am using Ipage. I have visited WordPress.org but could not find log in section.

Looks like you’re on iPages! WordPress dot org doesn’t host websites…

I think there’s a setting in Jetpack to set your dashboard to the WordPress com tool bar. I didn’t see JetPack in your manifest but I do see a theme from Automattic so I’m going to figure you had or maybe still have Jetpack installed.

You can go into Jetpack’s settings under ‘reading’ and turn that off if you want to re-enable your standard admin toolbar.

To get to your site’s actual admin bar look down the lefthand menu for WP Admin and click that to get to your normal WordPress admin bar.

If you don’t have Jetpack installed you might need to reinstall that or ask them for help in disabling that feature. I don’t think it will hurt anything if your WordPress dot com site shuts down… I’d recommend keeping it as long as it’s free anyway.

You’ll need the free account there at WordPress dot com if you want to take advantage of Jetpack and I do use Jetpack on most of my own sites.

    Thank you @jnashhawkins

Everything is now woking and looking good. In fact your explanation made understand what I never knew and it made to also do some researches on my own. Though new to the system, but yesterday was a good day to my understanding.

I never knew the different between wordpress.com and wordpress.org but now I know. Never knew that jetpack is owned by wordpress.com but now I know and lots more. Just like you said it was the jetpack that I installed that was causing everything but now I have my good looking dashboard back like the day I installed it.

I am very glad meeting this great forum.

    Thank you all
