WordPress Fatal Error

    Hi there!

    I’ve been using WordPress and any problem till 3 days ago. When I try to access my site (www.garajegayarre.com), appears the following message:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wordpress_importer_init() (previously declared in /homepages/36/d569007510/htdocs/app569009134/wp-content/mu-plugins/wordpress-importer/wordpress-importer.php:1123) in /homepages/36/d569007510/htdocs/app569009134/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-importer/wordpress-importer.php on line 1217

    I couldn’t update to last WordPress version, it was an error.

    Last week I change Theme, but got any problem

    I cannot access to my dashboard, login in admin, anything.

    Any clue or tip of how can I resolve this?

    Hi,

    yes. Please log in through FTP, go to wp-content/plugins/ and delete the wordpress-importer folder/plugin.

    I’m not sure if I have the same problem, the site seems to be working fine, but when I try and log into the Admin/Dashboard nothing happens. I had an email to say I had updated to 4.7.2. a couple of days ago before the problem seemed to start.

    I had the same the problem and now is resolved.

    In this case it was caused because the importer was installed twice. Once as a must use plugin (mu-plugin) which cannot be disabled, and once as a normal plugin.
