WordPress changing single quote to ⁽ | WordPress.org

I realize my feed does not validate anymore and I am suspecting it is because of WordPress converting my single quotes to ⁽. Already tried disabling plugins and reinstalling WordPress but to no avail.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Are you using standard ' apostrophes or are they in a weird format?

I am using the standard ‘ apostrophes as seen in the HTML view.

What theme are you using, and if not 2011 have you tested using that theme?

Themes are totally able to hose up something like that

I have tried using the 2011 theme and am still getting those special characters in my feed. No absolute clue why this is happening.
