WordPress admin panel password protection disabled!

Hello,
I set a password for my WordPress admin panel and its worked, but stopped suddenly!
I opened “.htaccess” file and added below lines to it:

### BEGIN DIGEST BLOCK
<Files wp-login.php>
AuthType Digest
AuthName "Protected by AskApache"
AuthDigestDomain /wp-login.php https://My_Web_Site.com/wp-login.php
AuthUserFile /etc/httpd/.WP-htpasswd
Require valid-user
Satisfy All
</Files>
### END DIGEST BLOCK

Then, used “htpasswd” command to create a panel username and password:
htpasswd -c /etc/httpd/.WP "Panel User"
And restarted my Apache service and everything worked, but stopped suddenly.
Why?
