    Hello @ravanh
    on 11 th August 2020 WordPress will release version 5.5 with integration of wp-sitemap.xml is there any incompatibility with XML Sitemap & Google News plugin? We can continue to use your awesome plugin and ignore the built-in sitemap feature in WordPress core?

    Hi @marius84 the plugin has been tested with 5.5 beta and there is no problem. For now, the sitemap will just replace the WP core one. Then next plugin release will take full use of the WP core sitemaps.

    @ravanh so are you planning to update the plugin soon? What happens if there is no SitemapXML PHP extension on the user end?

    This plugin does not need any particular PHP extension other than the ones recommended for WordPress.

    I cannot say for sure when the new version will arrive but I hope to have something ready before the end of this month…
