The site has now migrated successfully. Can I just delete the old (dev) site (https://atasteofitalyweddings.nl/lbs_ATOIW_stg) or do I still need to take action, in view of the Wordfence plugin?

    Hi,

You are safe deleting the old site, HOWEVER, Please BE SURE you don’t delete the databases when deleting the old site.

If you delete the old site manually through FTP by deleting all content in the old WordPress directory everything should be fine, but if you delete using CPanel or another web host panel it might delete the MySQL DBs along with it, so be careful.

    Hey @lonabsarti,

I’m happy to hear you were able to perform the migration.

Eli has given great advice. It is safe to delete the dev site, but you do want to make sure you don’t delete the database as well. Please make sure you have a full backup before attempting this, and if you’re not comfortable with it your host can likely help.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hey @lonabsarti,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ve gone ahead and marked this thread as resolved.

Please feel free to open another thread if you’re still having issues with Wordfence.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hi Gerroald,

Sorry for the delay in my reply.

    I do have a question.

I cloned the live site to a subdomain for dev purposes.
Should I perform any particular actions on the dev site with regard to Wordfence. Or is the dev site now also protected and can I perform a scan?

Do I have to (re)configure the firewall settings on the dev site?

    Thanks!

    Ilona
