I think I found the problem! The plugin doesn’t seem to be compatible with elementor as when I tried embedpress in guttenberg it worked. But doesn’t want to cooperate with elementor.

Problem was the compatibility with elementor.
I managed to solve the problem when I downgraded to version 3.0
Basically when the new settings look was added in the newer versions, it opened up plenty of bugs.
Already made it work with version 3.0 + some simple aspect ratio css did the trick.

You will be glad to know that we have recently released our newer version of the EmbedPress plugin and the fix for your issue is also included with this version.
So, don’t need to use the dev version now. Please update your plugin to the latest version. Hope you’ll find the issue fixed.
