Widget won’t add to menu

I followed the directions via the screenshots on your plugin page but when I go to edit my main menu add the widget to my main menu (it’s a font resizer) – I click the checkbox and click Add to Menu and nothing happens except the check in the checkbox goes away.

What am I doing wrong?

Hey @aalexa,

Can’t say anything without looking at it. Could you share a link to
1. The plugin/ code that outputs the font resizer widget
2. The page where the menu should output
Also, please remember that this plugin is just a hack and may not work for some widgets. So can’t promise that it will work.

I’m using Font Resizer Version 1.3.5 By cubetech.ch – https://wordpress.org/plugins/font-resizer/ and the main page of the site is on a site that isn’t accessible to the web yet (it’s in staging). Does it help to know the theme is Simple Article by GoodLayers? – http://demo.goodlayers.com/?theme=simplearticle

You don’t seem to be doing anything wrong. The font-resizer plugin is done in a way that it won’t work with this one. The theme doesn’t have a say here! 🙁

Fortunately, someone has forked the plugin, fixed the issues and released it as https://wordpress.org/plugins/zeno-font-resizer/. That plays perfectly well with widgets in menu! 🙂

I will refactor the code for the next release.

Tried Zeno and it doesn’t show up in the menu at all…any other recommended font-sizers?
