• I started using your plugin today. Congratulations, it works very well.

I was using the Imagify plugin before, and in that plugin’s working logic, .webp files are stored in the ftp area.

I will now use your plugin consistently.

However, my website contains approximately 5,000 .webp files.

Would it make sense to delete these previously created webp files?

    Hi @aga2442,

    Thank you for your message.

Our plugin converts files from the /wp-content/uploads directory. If there are files in the .jpg.webp or .png.webp format, they will be skipped, as that’s where other plugins usually name converted files.

Does deleting the .webp files make sense? In my opinion, the plugin should remove everything after itself during uninstallation, and then you wouldn’t have this problem. The most important thing is not to use multiple image optimization plugins at once.

    Best,
    Mateusz
