Hi @mannweb,
Thank you for reaching out. Would it be possible if you create an issue in the Facebook GitHub repository https://github.com/woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce/issues with as many details as possible? If you are able to export a faulty product that would be the best if not then screenshots are OK. How is your product configured, how are attributes defined, how are variations defined, product Facebook tab, Facebook sidebar box content.
We are experiencing some issues with Facebook API and replicating the problem that you have would really help us move forward.
Best Regards,
Bartosz
Thanks. I have done that. Hopefully this can lead to finding a solution.
@mannweb,
Thank you for the file but unfortunately, something must have gone wrong with the export. The file has only one product that looks like it is a single product. The file has Sage Green Grosgrain Ribbon on a single row and no other rows for variations.
First time using this export plugin. Have added the variations.
Hi there @mannweb !
I was able to check the CSV file under the issue reported here: https://github.com/woocommerce/facebook-for-woocommerce/issues/2116
May I ask how you have exported the CSV file? If you have utilized a different plugin, could you try following this section of the documentation and see if you can export the said product using WooCommerce Core feature (Product Importer and Exporter)? https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/#export
If you would like to filter by product type, please place both Variable Product type and Product Variation type. As shown in this screenshot here: https://d.pr/i/zH3Uoe
To note, the CSV file should have variable (parent) and variation (child/variations of the products) under Type column. You may refer to this documentation here: https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/#converting-existing-simple-product-to-variable-product
The result of CSV should look very similar to this: https://d.pr/i/jdtgUA
Export using the built-in Woo Export done. Was using an extra plugin from woo. Hope this new export helps.
Hi @mannweb – how did that work for you?
@mannweb
I have looked at some of the ribbon products and this is my observation: the Facebook catalog has problems with variations attributes in the form of “22mm”.
I have changed the attributes to something like “a 22mm | a 33mm”, reassigned the variations to use the new attributes, and clicked update. Next, I have deleted the product in FB using the “Delete product(s) on Facebook”, waited a bit, and clicked update in the product edit to trigger synchronization again. The variable products are synchronized in a separate process so they will not appear immediately. Wait a minute and refresh the product edit page. You should see ids for the producs and the FB catalog should now have your items.
I know that the variation labels changes are not optimal – I will try to reach the Facebook Direct Support team responsible for the catalog and see if this limitation is persistent.
Please try the above steps and see if it helps.
Best Regards,
Bartosz
