Variable layout for product display

For a high-end art site, i would like to be able to display products in different ways, not just as a grid. For example, on a single page, first a full-width featured piece, then under that a short video about the piece, then under that perhaps a row of 4-5 smaller pieces, then a block of text, then a row of 2 large pieces, etc. make sense? possible?
