Using a password field with CF7

Hello, I am trying to do exactly this: http://smallenvelop.com/how-to-get-password-fields-in-contact-form-7/
However, when I add the function the functions.php and change the form shortcode from contact-form-7 to cfp, I get an error message “[contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”]” printed on the page.
Is the password field no longer supported by CF7? I would like to use a simple password and collect emails of anyone trying to view the content. Thanks!
P.S. I’ve disabled all plugins and the issue was still happening
