User getting error when replying

    Hello,
    When a user is not logged in and they are replying to someone else comment, they just get a pop up with an “error” on the screen even after they filled out their name and email correctly.
    They don’t see this error when they are posting their own comments on the post.

    Any idea how to fix this?
    I’ve already allowed guests to post comments in the settings.

    Hello @alainreel,

    Please share a live URL from your issue.

    For troubleshooting, please deactivate all your plugins and let the Deeper Comments remain active only, set your theme on default, then reload the page. If the issue was solved, then activate your plugins one by one and your theme, refresh your page and check to see which plugin is causing the issue.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your reply.

    I’ve deactivated all plugins and tested but the issue still persists. I’ve tested on WordPress default theme as well.

    You can visit my website here: https://bit.ly/3rspPwD and try to reply to a comment as a guest. You will see the pop up which only says “error”.
    When users are logged in, they can reply to a comment, but guest visitors are seeing the error popup when replying.

    We have not received any similar reports so far, and we can not reproduce that issue on our end. How can we replicate your steps to arrive at the issue on a fresh WordPress installation?
