• I just accidentally deleted a long important TODO list note on my iPad by accidentally touching the bottom corner of a note, even though I could not see a button there. I was able to recover it by manually editing the database, but here are some suggestions for usability…

    1. Make buttons and toolbar always visible on mobile devices. Actually, I think they should always be visible on all devices, but mobile devices have no hover, so at least touch devices.
    2. Confirm deletion of a note. This is UI 101.
    3. Make the Add Note button a dropdown with an option to recover deleted notes.

Thanks so much for this very helpful plugin!

    Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear about your bump in the road, but also glad you could recover 🙂
(you should also be able to go to ‘wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=note’ and restore from trash there)

    Thank you for the suggestions!

    1) I’ll take this in account with the next big update, if you have the experience, please feel free to contribute: https://github.com/jeroensormani/wp-dashboard-notes.

    2) I didn’t do this as WordPress itself isn’t doing it, plus a standard alert is pretty damn ugly. Using something like SweetAlert makes it pretty, but its also arguable its performance 101, to not include unnecessary scripts.
I’ve thought about creating a undo type of notice, but unsure about that.

    Have a great day!
    Jeroen
