Update doesn’t work | WordPress.org

Hello,

I am using the freee Virtue theme. Since WP 4.7.1 I cannot update the Theme. It is so that the whole folder in wp-content/themes/virtue is empty except of the folder themeoptions. The same is with WP 4.7.2.

What can I do? Is there another way to update the theme without losing all theme settings? I am also using the Child Theme of the Virtue theme.

Hey Lufti,

You can follow these steps to manually update the theme. Just re-download from wordpress.org and follow these steps:
https://www.kadencethemes.com/manually-updating-a-theme/

Let me know if that works for you. You shouldn’t lose any theme settings, as those are saved in your site’s database.
