Unfinished Updraft Restoration message stuck

A restoration failed because of existing old upload files. I was able to restore them manually, so all is good. When I try to “dismiss” the message, nothing happens. I saw a comment on a similar issue that talks about deleting the .maintenance file in the root directory. The updraft program appears to be working fine. It created a backup last night as scheduled. I’m just trying to get rid of the notification. Thank you.
