unexpected error – Contact wordpress support error

    Dear All

    Pls help me. My blog is very slow. Sometimes it opens in 5 secs and sometimes it opens after 50 seconds or 100 seconds. I tried checking the wordpress error logs and I could see below warnings (multiple line items of same error is found in error log).

    PHP Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home/iuyomt2pq7vy/public_html/wp-includes/update.php on line 168

    Let me know how to rectify this.

    What did you do before this issue (e.g., update plugins or theme, or WP, modifications, etc.)?

    WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.

    Have you discussed this with your hosting provider? If not, I would.

    I did spoke to godaddy multiple times. They say server response is good and no issue with server. It could be only WP or theme or plugins issue. I have not changed any thing in the last 10 to 15 days in my wordpress blog except for posting new articles.
