When trying to import a .dat generated by a plugin I get:

    File type not allowed

It works fine in version 2.7.0 however 2.7.1 is getting the error

Hi @jaapmarcus, thanks for reporting this. Can you give it a try now? We released an update today to address this.

Thank you for confirming and for the review. We appreciate it!

I’m having the problem that @jaapmarcus reported about 1 week ago. When trying to import saved customizer settings, I’m getting the “File type not allowed” error for the .dat file. Using version 0.9.7.2, tried exporting again, cleared the cache, but same thing.

@nypoint we cannot replicate this issue now. Could you send us your .dat file? You can reach out via our contact form… select General Inquiry and once you get the auto reply, then you could reply and attach a copy of your .dat file so we can test with it.

Here’s the link to the contact form: https://www.wpbeaverbuilder.com/contact/

If you’d rather upload it to a file sharing website instead and post the URL that would work too. That part is up to you 🙂

I am also experiencing this problem. Using your plugin under WP 6.1.1 on a Synology NAS, export seems to complete successfully. But when I then try to import resulting DAT file under WP 6.6.2 via GoDaddy, I get a “File Type Not Allowed” error.

This issue should be resolved now @craigrich70. Let us know if you are still experiencing problems but we hope not!

Okay thanks but I couldn’t wait so I just had to brute force it on my end and manually re-apply all the theme customizations on our GoDaddy hosting site. Won’t be able to provide you with feedback on the changes here.
