Three suggestions
-
Please consider these suggestions as two ways that might increase the usability of the WpEvently plugin.
- Add column sort order options to the “New Modern Style” version of the Dashboard Event List. The new filtering options that are available in the new modern style are very useful but the new modern style has removed the column sort order option that are available WordPress Default Post List Style. It would be helpful to be able to use both the new filters and the old column sort order options at the same time.
- Add an option to include any existing post excerpts in the event listings, perhaps as a parameter in the event list short code. It might be possible that certain event listing styles are not conducive to adding event excerpts but in the listing styles where excerpts would work, people viewing the event listing might find it useful to have a small bit of information about the event (i.e. an excerpt) without having to follow the event link to get additional details.
- Please implement some sort of recursive search that functions with the single event template/layout when used with a fully Gutenberg based web page. I have placed a single item event listing short code that displays the next upcoming event in the footer block of every page on our web site. This works well except when the page is a single page event listing generated by WpEvently. The single page event listing simply shows the event short code in the footer block rather than rendering the footer block as happens in all other page instances which show the footer properly.
I am not sure if anyone else would find the above items useful but I would so perhaps someone else might. Thank you for considering these suggestions.
