Tumblr Posts Import Problem

    I’ve imported posts from my tumbler blog (using Import Tool) and it looks like all posts are imported intact, but for some reason WP decides to replace the pictures in those posts with “[gallery]” short code.

    So in practice it looks like this:
    I go to Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and then open any of imported posts, the post opens, pictures which belong to that post open and at first everything looks great.
    But.
    When I try to do anything to that post, let’s say, add title, and click preview or update, WP blows the pictures off and sticks “[gallery]” short code as a replacement. What’s interesting is that I can keep reopening those posts and each time post will open without any problem, presenting right set of pictures until WP puts “[gallery]” in again.

    So, it looks like import went well. The posts and media came in healthy and happy. Pictures are attached to posts, but WP doesn’t like my galleries and kips sticking “[gallery]” short code where it doesn’t belong.

    @0penminded – There may be a conflict going on, have you tried temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme and deactivating all your current active plugins to see if this issue persists?

    First of all, huge thanks for ultra fast response.
    I’ll be at my first week of dealing with WP so I know absolutely nothing about it and really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

    I’ve started by switching to a default WordPress Twenty series (there’s three of them available). I haven’t even switched, I’ve just clicked “live preview” button and all the pictures are showing exactly where they should be showing. Because of that, I assume the problem lies with the theme I’m using. It looks like I need to contact the developer. I’m surprised because I’m using a very popular theme.

    I’ll update you with the outcome.
