Hello. The plug-in is very good, so I’ve researched it a lot to be able to customize it.

    1. I use the Google AI Translation engine. Some translations are not good and I have noticed that this happens when there are bold words in the paragraph. I am interested in the quality of the translation throughout the paragraph and it doesn’t bother me if the translated text doesn’t contain words in bold.

    2. a suggestion for improvement would be the option “Original language first” to be transferred to the “Appearance” section since this concerns what order the flag will be in.

    Regards

    Hello,
thank you very much for the kind words and for taking the time to study the plugin in depth 👍

    Regarding your points:

    1. Translation quality and bold text
To maximize translation quality, it’s generally best to avoid intermediate HTML tags like <strong> (used for bold text) as much as possible.
These tags split the sentence into multiple parts before it is sent to the translation engine, which can affect both the meaning and the overall quality of the translation.
If your priority is translation accuracy rather than preserving formatting, keeping the text as “clean” as possible usually gives better results.
Also, the highest translation quality is typically achieved when using AI-based engines such as ChatGPT, which handle context and sentence structure much better than traditional engines.

    2. “Original language first” option
Thank you for the suggestion. It makes sense to consider moving the “Original language first” option to the Appearance section, since it affects the visual order of the flags. I really appreciate this kind of feedback.

Finally, if you find GPTranslate useful, I’d be extremely grateful if you could spare a minute to leave a 5-star review on WordPress.org. It would be a huge help and motivation for continuing to improve the plugin.

Thanks again for your support! 😊
