    Hi there,

first of all a great thanx for your efforts to make the WordPress universe a safer place.

I tried to translate the string “ERROR: Invalid username, email address or password.Lost your password?” with Loco Translate but my translation does not appear.

Does anyone have a similar problem or do anyone know a solution?

    Thank you for your help.

    Ron

I’m not familiar with Loco Translate, I’m afraid. There’s some HTML code in that string, could it be the problem, e.g., an HTML syntax error in your translation?

Thank you for the immediate response. Actually you are right – there is html code in that string and I made a copy before translating the string:

ERROR: Invalid username, email address or password.<br />Lost your password?

FEHLER: Ungültiger Benutzername, Email-Adresse oder Passwort.<br />Passwort vergessen?

I even did not change <br /> to html 5 syntax.

What would you suggest? Is there any reason why the new string should not work?

Perhaps I have to try another method in order to get the notice translated. I can try to reedit the file with poedit but wonder if that makes any sense.

    Best wishes

Did you try to remove all HTML code from the whole string?

In the next version, I’ll split the string so that HTML code doesn’t need to be translated.

Thank you for the help again. I’ll try and let you know if it worked.

Can’t remove <a href="%s"></a>without destroying functionality. So I guess that I have to wait for update.

Even when I remove any html it does not change the notice in frontend. I’ll wait for a solution. Thanx.
