Translate problem
-
Hello,
since the update, the translations are broken
-
Hi @leclercweb,
Sorry that you ran into issues here!
Can you be more specific here? What is broken about the translations–are you seeing errors, missing strings, or something else?
Are you using a “standard” translation file (one that came with the plugin’s /languages folder), or are you working with a custom one you created?
What language?
If you have a custom one, did you try upgrading the translation file for the 5.0 set of strings? You should follow the instructions here if that’s the case: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-upgrade-a-translation-file/
On each release, a translation file that has been customized should be “upgraded” to include any new strings we’ve added since then so you can translate them as well.
Please let me know.
Good day, I did not understand anything, what is a fuzzy file? How can I set this in the PO-Edit program?
I have edited all language files in the folder Language, nevertheless the plugin does not show my German translation!Hi @andrebraselmann,
Sorry that you ran into issues here!
Can you please contact us here with a link to this forum thread?: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/
There seems to be an issue in 5.0.x with translations and we’re working it out.
UPDATE: This is now fixed in 5.0.2, which we just released about 30 min ago. 🙂 Anyone having this issue please update ASAP!
Hi Guys,
you are the best.
Can i edit the language files with PO-Edit without troubleshooting now?-

Yes, that should not be a problem to follow these steps now:
Please keep in mind that with each release, we add, edit or remove strings in the plugin, and as a result, those things are changed in the translation file. If you are using a translation file, you should update your translation files with EACH upgrade of the plugin.
Follow the instructions in this article for the steps to take to upgrade your translation file: http://docs.businessdirectoryplugin.com/faq/how-to-upgrade-a-translation-file.html
