• Hello,

I’m using the Botiga theme and I added a custom HTML block in the Top Bar section (via Appearance → Customize → Top Bar → HTML).

I would like to have a top bar with the following features:

    1. Text scrolling vertically from bottom to top.
    2. A close button (X) so visitors can hide the top bar.
    3. Fully responsive, correctly displaying on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

I tried implementing it myself with custom HTML, CSS, and JS, but I encountered several issues:

The close button is not always visible or clickable on mobile.

The scrolling text is misaligned on mobile/tablet, and the font size/padding does not adjust correctly.

Animations and transitions do not work smoothly on mobile, sometimes the text jumps or wraps unexpectedly.

Could you please tell me if Botiga natively supports this kind of top bar, or if there is a recommended way to implement a vertical scrolling top bar with a close button, without breaking the layout on mobile devices?

    Thank you for your guidance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @byred,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Currently, Botiga does not offer the functionality you’ve described. However, we understand this may be important to you, and I’ll add a note for consideration in the future.

    Thank you!
