Timer not showing up

Hello,

Really excited to use this plugin, but I am having some problems getting it up and running. I am using a custom theme (it works fine in 2012 and 2013, so this is a theme specific issue) and the timer won’t show on the page. There is an empty div that appears on the page
<div id="ujiCountdown" class="ujic_center"></div>, but no timer.

I have removed everything I can think of from my theme to trying and narrow down what might be going on, but to no avail. When I look at the resources with chrome developer tools I can see that the js files aren’t being loaded (they load fine with 2013). Where should I start looking for the problem?

Any help would be great.
