Hi, just a quick question. I would like to create a booking form, but the time field is not very intuitive, as it only allows drop-downs or the entry of numbers (hour/minute/AM/PM…). It is not very user-friendly. Are you planning to redesign this field? Most form builders already include an intuitive time field in their core. Thank you!

  • Hi @codimex

I hope you are doing well today.

Please note that the Timepicker field also allows Number inputs as a design:

Could you be more specific in that matter and share with us examples, so we could pass them to our Forminator Team and see if there’s something we could improve?

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

Hi, Kris. Thank you for your quick response. Yes, my comment was about both dropdown AND number modes. I meant if you can implement something like this (link marked as nofollow). A clock widget or something easier than clicking on two or three different fields. Users hate this. And it contrasts with the beautiful datepicker field with an intuitive calendar full of options (imagine typing the day, and then the month, and then the year). Does my point make sense?

    Hello @codimex

Thanks for the information. At this moment we don’t have plans to improve the Time Picker selector, but I can see how it can be improved using the UI you shared. I’m passing your feedback to our development team so they can consider it and implement it in the future. That being said, I don’t have an ETA of when something like this will be implemented.

    Kind regards,
    Jair.

Thank you. I hope you improve the UX from that field soon. An AI has provided me with an interesting piece of code as a temporary fix, but it’s obviously better to have it implemented natively from your end.

    Hello @codimex

Glad that you found a solution and thank you for the suggestion! I believe this could bring good benefits to the plugin and forwarded this thread as a feature request to our developers, we can’t give any estimated time or guarantee it is going to be implemented but I hope we can consider it in a future version.

I also suggest subscribing to our roadmap and receiving updates about our products https://wpmudev.com/roadmap.

That said, this was already forwarded to our developers and I am marking this thread as resolved, but if you have any additional questions feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards
    Amin
