    I am the webmaster of a site and build a protected area to be used by members only. For this, I used Theme my login. It works so long I guess, but there is a problem. If I, for instance, go to Google and search for the name of one of the pages in the protected area, Google finds it and I have only to click on it to come to the restricted page. In my mind protection that allows the search sites crawlers to get in and list the pages in a protected area is rather useless.

    Theme My Login allows you to customize the login page but does not manage members-only pages. For that, you need a different plugin.

    I know and together with Theme my login I used; Profile builder and Nav Menu Roles to build up the protected pages, but obviously, it does not work perfectly. Is there anyone out there that now about a perfect and free solution?

    Neither of those protects pages. Please read their descriptions carefully and look at the plugins I suggested. On the site on which I do something similar, I use the plugin “restrict”.
