I forgot to mention the majority of the posts on my site are published by frontend users. Thank you.
Please send me your site URL and I will take a look
it’s localhosted on my computer, sorry if I’ve misled you when I said “the majority of the posts on my site are published by frontend users.”. What I meant was after it’s published, it will be the case.
The default exclamation mark image was readily there immediately after activation and at that time, the default setting was on Nothing. When I switched to Button and Link just to see what difference it would make, the image disappeared and I couldn’t make it show up again.
Can you attach a screenshot of what you are getting?

As you can see on this screenshot, right next to the author, there had been the exclamation mark from the plugin when I initially activated the plugin. At that time, the option wa set on “Nothing”. I then changed it to “Link” and “Button” hoping to see what difference they would make. But the exclamation mark disappeared right after I changed the option setting, and I could not make it re-appear since. Thank you.
