The “Publish” button

Hi Jeff,
Pardon my newbie question.
I have installed Theme Switcha and am customizing an alternate theme in Theme Switcha.
The button at the top left of the page says “Publish” and has a gear icon to the right.
I am petrified about clicking it because all I am trying to do is to save the custom edits I made to the alternate theme and NOT “publish” them as my live site.
Is that “publish” button really just a “save” button — which is all I want to do.

If you are seeing/using a “Publish” button, then you should *not* be using Theme Switcha. Please read this sticky post:
The Theme Customizer (where you are seeing the Publish button) should NOT be used with Theme Switcha (as explained in the above sticky post).
