    hi,

    the title says it all, unfortunately, the author block does not appear. well, at least, it doesn’t seem to me

    WordPress 6.9.4 avec le thème Twenty Twenty-Five.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reporting this! This was a known bug that’s now fixed in version 1.0.4 — please update the plugin from your WordPress dashboard and the blocks should work correctly.

    If you’re still having issues after updating, let us know!

    Hello, Thanks. I’ve found the block now.
    So each block is an author? And each is treated separately?
    And, is it possible to have a link on the author’s page, on the blog ?

    • Each block type works differently: the Author Profile block shows one author; Grid, List, and Carousel blocks show multiple authors at once. Each block instance is configured independently.
    • For author page links: author names in the blocks link to WordPress’s built-in author archive pages automatically. You can also place an Author Profile block on any page and link to it from your posts. If you want an author card to appear automatically at the bottom of every post, that can be done through the block theme’s post template

    As I said, and as you can check, there’s no link to the WordPress’s built-in author on the author name : https://aquifer.stromboli.st/archives/

    Hi eoik,

    Thanks for your patience, and apologies for the earlier mix-up — you were right. I dug into the code and the author name wasn’t being linked to the author archive at all. That was a bug on our side, not a setup issue
    on yours.

    It’s now fixed: author names link automatically to the WordPress author archive page (and for Team Member entries, to their individual profile page). The fix is merged and will ship in the next update. I’ll reply
    here again once it’s live on WordPress.org so you can update and confirm it works on your site.

    Hi eoik,

    Good news — this is now fixed and released. Please update Author Profile Blocks to version 1.1.1 from your WordPress dashboard (Plugins → Updates).

    After updating, the author name links to the WordPress author archive automatically across all the blocks (Author Profile, Grid, List, Carousel). On your archive page at https://aquifer.stromboli.st/archives/ the names should now be clickable.

    1.1.1 also fixes a few related issues found while investigating yours — the shortcodes now render correctly, and a couple of smaller bugs are resolved.

    Could you update and let me know it works on your site? Happy to keep digging if anything’s still off.
