Hi @hmessing,
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and for explaining the issue so clearly. I completely understand how confusing and frustrating this can feel.
At the moment, Elementor templates in Eventin are not reusable across multiple events. You need to create templates on an event by event basis. This limitation exists because some required dynamic widgets in Elementor are still under development on our side. Due to this, a single Elementor template cannot yet be created once and reused automatically for multiple events.
For now, what you can do is create a template and apply it to another event, but the title, description, and other event specific content will need to be updated manually each time. We know this is not ideal, and we truly appreciate your patience here.
On the other hand, our Gutenberg templates do support reusability. You can create one template and reuse it wherever needed without having to rebuild or manually adjust everything.
We are actively working on improving the Elementor templating system, and our goal is to make Elementor templates fully reusable in the future. We sincerely hope you can give us a bit more time to complete this development.
If you need any further help then please feel free to let us know. We’ll be happy to help.
Best regards,
M Mahbub
Thank you for the reply. I understand but I still am unable to figure it out in Gutenberg.
When I select new template in the event itself I don’t get the built in templates see screenshot 1.screenshot 1: https://weathermatic.box.com/s/slqrsvufzm9tlthxewi1akx7glrl1gu4
When I am creating my own template in Gutenberg how do I get the layout like in screenshot 2 with some changes?Screenshot 2: https://weathermatic.box.com/s/mym67l2x4vw2di83swligowvxdumi69r
Hi @hmessing,
Hello! Thank you for following up and sharing those screenshots. They are very helpful in pinpointing exactly where the confusion is happening.1. Regarding the Missing Pre-selected Templates
You are absolutely right, the pre-selection of Gutenberg templates was available until just a few days ago. However, due to an optimization issue, we had to temporarily remove that specific feature.
Currently, when you add a new template, it will be visible during event editing and selection. However, the empty pop-up you see in your first screenshot is a known bug that our team is addressing. We are fixing this with high priority in the next update.
In the meantime, you can still access and manage your created templates from the list here: https://prnt.sc/PaAPjhqBendQ.
To achieve the specific layout you’re looking for, you can easily customize your template using our builder. It gives you the flexibility to rearrange elements to match your vision.
- Step-by-Step Guide: Please follow this documentation for a detailed walkthrough: How to Create Event Templates.
- If you run into any hurdles while building the layout, please reach out to us via our landing page. We would be happy to take a closer look and help you get it exactly right.
We appreciate your patience while we polish these features!
Would you like me to guide you through any specific part of that documentation or help with a different layout question?
Best Regards,
M Mahbub
