Hi, I have setup a custom post and taxonomy type, the Taxonomy “Types” is a large list with parent and child objects.

When I create a new post the “Types” are all in alphabetical order for Parent and Child which is brilliant. Post is published with the relevant taxonomy “Type(s)” selected

The issue I am having is if I go back in to edit the post, the taxonomies I have selected are all at the top of the list and not in the original list order, if I then deselect one from the list and save the post the deselected “Type” gets taken out of order and put further down in the list outside of it’s parent.

I have this running on 2 sites currently one development and one live and I have the same issue on both sites.

Hi, after missing one plugin to turn off I found the issue was with “Classic Editor”, turning this plugin on re-arranges the order of the taxonomies.
