Hi @shereewalker,
Thanks for reaching out and for bringing this to our attention.
From your description, this may be a case where a browser extension such as Malwarebytes Browser Guard is influencing how third-party scripts are loaded in the browser. CookieYes resources are served from cdn-cookieyes.com, and in some setups, privacy or security extensions may block or delay these scripts by default. When that happens, the cookie banner, revisit consent button, or cookie tables may not appear as expected.
To check whether this is the cause, please try the following:
- Temporarily disable Malwarebytes Browser Guard (or test in a private/incognito window without extensions enabled) and see if the banner and cookie tables display correctly.
- If they do appear correctly after that, add your website and
cdn-cookieyes.com to the allowlist/whitelist in Malwarebytes Browser Guard so the scripts can load normally.
From the plugin side, CookieYes should function as expected when the required scripts are allowed to load in the browser. If you still experience any issues after allowlisting, please let us know with your site URL and any relevant details, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.

HI there,
Yes the browser guard is the cause – I was hoping there was s solution to this as I am concerned that anyone with the browser guard cannot see the tables etc. I raised it with Malwarebytes but they didn’t offer a solution.
For now I have out a note on the cookie policy page:
Please note, some features may not function correctly when using a browser guard.

Hi @shereewalker,
Thanks for the update. It appears that the behaviour you’re seeing is indeed related to how certain browser extensions handle external scripts. The note you’ve added to your cookie policy page is a great workaround for now, as it helps inform visitors in case any features are affected.
If everything is clear, could we mark this thread as resolved?
