The PURGE/* functionality proposed in the GridPane PR has been noted before, and while some parts of that contribution were implemented, the PURGE/* method itself wasn’t included at the time. We’re checking internally to understand the background on that decision and to see if it can be reconsidered for a future release.
Once there’s an update from the development team, we’ll make sure it’s shared in the GitHub thread so the reasoning and next steps are transparent to everyone following the discussion.
Thanks again for continuing to bring this up, it’s contributions like this that help us identify what would be most valuable to the broader WordPress and Nginx community.

Following internal discussions, we’ve revisited the original decision and implemented the PURGE/* functionality based on your earlier contribution.
This update will be included in the next release of the Nginx Helper plugin. Once it’s live, the changelog will reflect the addition so it’s clear to everyone following this thread.
We appreciate your detailed feedback and persistence in advocating for improvements that benefit the wider community, it’s been instrumental in getting this enhancement finalized.
