So…is there any other reason you are giving the plugin a bad rating, other than a temporary issue that is currently being worked on? Otherwise, this is unfair of a rating.
You don’t remember what the plugin does, so I’m curious as to why you felt compelled to give an unfair rating. There must of been some reason you took additional time to review a plugin that has also had an overwhelming amount of hours. For free too if I might add! I’m sure you understand what it is like to put a lot of work into something.
If you could revise your review, it would actually help the plugin. There’s numerous others that would find APL very helpful. Plus, the issue you are having is on the top of the list for bug-fixes. It really just comes down to helping others, and the rating hurts that.
You’re curious why I felt to give it that rating? I think I was pretty clear in the review. When it gets fixed, I’ll edit.
There is a hotfix available, and plan to release it in the next version.
v0.4.2.1 Hotfix for Admin Notice Review
I understand how annoying it can be, and it was not the intent. The notice to ask others to review the plugin was often reconsidered. Even now there’s a sharp learning curve. Some of the responses though have been inspiring, and the hope is is to reflect that.
Asking for a review directly in the dashboard should definitely be reconsidered. It’s not standard practice. Imagine if all plugins did that, the dashboard would be unusable.
Agreed. That was one of the implications that was thought of, and already has code applied to set which screen it shows up on. Admin wide notices though, would for useful if an error did occurred.
The review notice on the other hand was set to admin wide, but will change to just APL screens. It was released that way for a couple reasons. It was the first notice for APL, and it was also to catch bugs from both sides of the functionality…some of the reason was also to get others to check out some of the new changes.

A new update is available. Updating should resolve the issue.
Yeah, I got the update and the review nag went away for a bit, but now it’s back.
Seems this hasn’t gone quite as smooth as initially hoped. Appears there is another issue rooted in this, and will have to investigate why it is reappearing.
There was an update added a couple days ago just in case you haven’t updated yet. So, it should dismiss now with the dismiss/delay.
Yes, so far so good. Thanks.
