Just tried Customize Posts. Nice idea. Several thoughts.
1. When open, the Editor window only occupies the lower third of the screen. It would be more useful to have a full screen editor and switch between the editor and the page view.
2. I would like to make this feature available to members with restricted privileges for authoring blogs. I currently use User Role Editor and Theme My Login to restrict what they can see in the dashboard when they blog. It would be useful if they could see the Customizer, and ONLY the Customizer, for their posts. At present if I give them edit_theme_options then they see the whole ‘Appearance’ tab in the dashboard and I don’t want to give them access to the other settings in that.

Follow-up on my comment.
Just saw the video on using the TinyMCE editor and saw that it was possible to use full screen editing. Thanks!

@mauryg Thanks for the message. Regarding your second point, the Customizer actually should already be accessible to your members who can edit posts. We have in place the code to grant access to the Customizer without having to grant edit_theme_options.

The only thing is that the “Customize” link won’t be appearing in the admin menu since the Appearance menu is not available. But on the frontend in the admin bar itself the “Customize” link is there.

Just to add my 2c, even though the full screen editor is available it would still be a nice convenience to be able to resize the bottom editor window by dragging up/down =)
