Subscription confirmed email disabled but sent

I understand the confusion. In Brevo, the “Send a confirmation email: no” setting only controls the first confirmation message that would be sent without double opt-in.

Since you have Double Opt-In enabled, Brevo always sends two emails in the flow:

1. The double opt-in email (the one with the confirmation link).
2. A subscription confirmation email after the user clicks that link.

That second email is the “Final confirmation” template you selected in your form settings (currently set to “Default”). If you don’t want subscribers to receive it, you can stop it in two ways:

• Option 1 (recommended): In the form settings, under “Select final confirmation email template,” choose “No template selected”. That disables the second email entirely.
• Option 2: If you do want it sent but customized, create your own template in Brevo and select it instead of the default one.

Thanks for following up.

The final confirmation email cannot be disabled when you create a form in the WordPress plugin settings and enable the double-opt-in setting. The final confirmation email is automatically sent for all double-opt-in forms created this way. I apologize for the limitation.

As a workaround, we recommend that you create the form directly in the Brevo account (not the WP plugin). This way you can disable the final confirmation email.
