    Hi,
I created a new navigation with one submenu. The main navigation use size M and the submenu in Products use S, with Light appearance and line hight 1. In the builder it looks OK, but after save it and look at it on the site all submenu and menu have the same design.

I have it on WP 6.7.2 and build it on MAC. I have also cleared the caches but no change.

Please is possible some one to help?

    Thanks.

    Hey,

Thanks for reaching out. I was able to reproduce the issue in both the Extendable theme and the Twenty Twenty-Five default WordPress theme.

The problem occurs when applying the M (medium) font size to the main navigation—it also gets applied to the submenu, overriding the submenu’s original S (small) font size. Since this issue isn’t specific to Extendable, you can use the following approach as a workaround until it’s resolved in WordPress.

Set the font size manually in the main navigation using the value 1.249rem (20px), which is approximately equivalent to the M (medium) font size.

    Hi,

I have tried it, but at first it round the number to 1,25 rem and after save its back there the old choosing the size with set M.

When I changed the number to 1.24 or 1.26 then the settings was saved, but still no change in the real.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for trying. I see you’re setting the font size on individual page links, but you need to set the custom font size on the Navigation block instead. Please reset the font size settings from the individual page links and apply the custom font size to the Navigation block. After that, set the size ‘S’ for the submenu individual pages (as you’ve already done).

I’ve marked these instructions on the attached screenshot:
    • Green mark indicates blocks where you should set the font size.
    • Red mark indicates blocks where you should reset (remove) the font size setting.

    Hi,

I have the navigation block – submenu (marked top green) I have set to there the custom size as you wrote and in submenus I have set the size to S and also I have changed Appearance to Light and the Line Height to 1px. So there was done more while I will have the submenu not so big and for me it looks better and each text is in 1 row. You can see the screenshots.

This my plan how it should looks.

    Hi,

I there any other possibility that I have as I will?
And if I can ask is there any possibility that I can see only product categories and subcategories which are not empty?

    Thanks.

Just to clarify, where exactly do you want to display the product categories and subcategories? Is it in the submenu or somewhere else?

If it’s in the submenu, unfortunately, it’s not possible to dynamically add or remove product category and subcategory links there, as there’s no built-in solution for that.

However, if you plan to display them elsewhere on the site, please let me know—I might be able to suggest an alternative approach.

    Hi,

I would like to know if you had some time to check it if still is this problem on the side of WordPress after the change on the latest version 6.8 or somewhere in your template. While yesterday I had an automatic update to teh WP version 6.8 and this problem is still present. And If I can ask, you have reported it to the WP as a bug?
    Thanks.

    Hey,

I just tested this again on WordPress 6.8.2 and the issue now seems to be fixed—the submenu font size is correctly applied and no longer overridden by the parent menu setting.

Could you please check on your end and let me know if you’re still experiencing the problem?
