statcounter on lightbox items?

I’m trying to get the statcounter to register ‘projects’ that get loaded in a portfolio-style lightbox, is there anyway to tag these pages or certain jpegs or items that would let stat counter know that was accessed, without loading a totally different page? Thanks.
