Hi!
I just updated my wordpress and added your plug in .
When it is generating thumbnails it gets to post 44 of 65 and then it sits there-for over an hour now.

What is going on?
I think it is stalling on a video that the content is hosted on my wordpress site-it seems to have generated the thumbnails on the vimeo and youtube links.

if that is the problem how do I figure out which video it is so I can send a copy to vimeo and have it generate the thumbnail?

If it stalls for more than a minute, that means something’s gone wrong. The scanner should say something like “[284] Scanning post 44 of 65” and the number in brackets (284 in this example) is the post ID. If you open any post in the editor, you should notice the URL is something like example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=5093&action=edit. Just replace the ID number (5093 in this case) with whatever the ID is of the post causing it to stall.
